I spent 16 years as a high school and middle school counselor after finishing my graduate program in counseling at Georgia Southern University in 2001. I then decided to open my own private practice. Since then, it has been my pleasure to work with 10- to 18-year-old boys in various ways. Some need problem solving skills, others need help with relationships or social skills. Still others would just like someone to talk to.

I primarily work with adolescents and young adults ages 12 and up struggling with a variety of mental health problems. I practice traditional CBT and Family Systems Therapy. Additionally, I enjoy working with couples navigating the ups and downs of relationships, improving communication, and nurturing growth. 

I have worked in the counseling field since 2015 and have been in private practice since 2021. I look forward to serving the Athens community that I know and love! 

Additionally, I offer sessions in Jefferson and online via teleheatlh. I am now accepting UHC, Aetna, Cigna, and BCBS. I can also provide you with a superbill to submit for out of network reimbursement to other insurance companies.

I work with adolescents (11 years old and up) and adults. I have experience focusing on anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and general life struggles. I strive to develop a positive and helpful relationship to help client's reach their goals.I earned a bachelors degree from the University of Georgia in Financial planning and a masters degree in counseling from Thomas University. I truly love helping people and look forward to working with you!

At this time I accept BCBS, Caresource, & Aetna only, but can provide you with a super bill to submit for reimbursement from other insurances as well. 

Mrs. Ashley Robinson has been working with children, teens, and college students for 7 years. Skilled in play therapy, Mrs. Robinson sees children as young as four years old. 

Mrs. Robinson also sees children, teens, and young adults. 

Rebecca Hiner, APC, NCC is a mental health counselor with a focus on early childhood mental health, trauma recovery, and relational healing. Ms. Hiner brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to her work with children, adolescents, and adults-practiced in play therapy, Rebecca provides therapeutic support for children ages birth to five and their caregivers. 

In addition to her early intervention focus, Rebecca is deeply committed to empowering teens, emerging adults, and adult women who are navigating self-esteem challenges, identity development, and life transitions. Her work emphasizes compassion and creating a safe space for healing.

Rebecca accepts BCBS, Aetna, & Caresource insurance. Other insurance companies may reimburse you via a superbill.
